Coolmath4kids!

Coolmath4kids.com is a bright, fun, interactive tool for teachers, parents and students! Math games, math facts, pre-algebra practice, "mind benders" (logic puzzles) and lessons are all available and user-friendly. The cursor is really fun ... it's a pointing finger with the digits 1 through 6 trailing behind! This site is particularly appropriate for elementary and early secondary students.

I have used this application in my classroom for whole-group activities and as a link on my classroom website for students to explore, play, and practice math! Students can work at their own pace and advance as appropriate. Two of my favorite "mind benders" are "Bridge Crossing" and "Water Jars" ... my kids get so competitive trying to figure out which sequence works!

The webmaster has also created Coolmath.com for secondary students which I have not explored as much.

The only drawback to this site is the advertising, but as the webmaster states, advertisers help pay for her site so it can remain free for the general public.
